Provide routine, practical, real-world support in coping with life’s day to day demands through modeling and coaching approaches to substance use recovery support based on an established treatment plan via telephone/video conference. |
Conduct routine monitoring of patient experience through standardized and proprietary assessments. |
Maintain timely and accurate documentation of peer encounters and data. |
Assist in guiding the peer to community and health plan directed resources. |
Support the MAP clinical and product development team’s development of technology systems and operating protocols. |
Participate in an on-call rotation with team members for MAP’s 24/7 after hours line. |
Relay peer issues and concerns to clinical leadership. |
Maintain a professional and courteous image to MAP’s peers and fellow employees. |
Participate in a well-paced and succinct manner in all staffing and company meetings. |
Provide timely feedback to immediate supervisor regarding service failures or client concerns. |
Adhere and uphold all company core values, policies, procedures, business ethic codes, information sercutiy policies, and HIPAA requirements/guidelines. |
Steward all company resources appropriately. |

Must have at least 3 years of continuous sobriety from drugs and alcohol. |
Must be actively working a program of recovery related to your history of substance use. A program of recovery includes the following:1. Regular and active attendance of recovery support activities (12-step meetings, SMART recovery, other recovery support communities, regular appointments with a substance use disorder provider.)2. Maintain a lifestyle that promotes continued mental, physical, and spiritual health as well as interpersonal relationships.3. A genuine commitment to the support and health of individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.4. An understanding of/sensitivity to the challenges face by individuals and families affected by substance use disorders in a manner that is accepting and free of stigma. |
Proficient with Microsfot Suite: Excel, Outlook, and Teams |
Must meet MAP’s Teleworking requirements and expectations, which include items such as a quiet designated office space with a locked door and access to high-speed internet. |
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen. |
High school diploma or General Diplomacy Diploma, GED |
Current Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification issued by a state or other credentialing authority, and must attain the National Certification through NAADAC within 60 days of employment. |
Minimum of 1-year, full-time direct practice (voluntary or paid) in peer recovery. |
